Today’s science club challenge was called ‘bowled over.’ The children had to decide which materials they would use inside different sized bottles and what type of ball they would use. E.g small, heavy. When they had created a table to show their results they then investigated outside on different surfaces.

They decided (after lots of fun and attempts!) that the concrete surface was the best because it wasn’t bumpy and the small, heavy ball was the best ball to use because of its size it was easier to hold and roll.

New bowling playground game coming soon!

‘I thought the bottles with water were better because the sand was too heavy to knock over.’ Safah

‘The big ball was easier because it has a bigger surface area however it was too light. The smaller balls were easier to aim.’ Dovud
