“One – Ahoy!  Two – Avast!  Three – Arrrr!  Four – Aye!  Five – SPLOOSH!”

As part of our Pirates Topic this term, the Rainbow Class set sail on the Thames for an unforgettable boat ride!

We whisked ourselves away to Stratford Station. From there, we took the DLR to Cutty Sark Maritime Greenwich Station. Our boat left from nearby and took us to Big Ben and the Houses of parliament.

Once on board, we could spend a few minutes inside the cabin to warm up again. But the best part was going to the outside back deck and feeling the wind on our faces and hearing the roar and splutter of the engine. We whooshed past many of the sights of London!

Finally, we directly returned back to school in time for lunch via the Jubilee Line.  Mr Scott is now looking forward to planning another trip for these children for their Space topic next term! Where? It’s going to be a surprise…
