A message from our Head Teacher
I would like to begin by saying that it is an honour to be the new Head Teacher of Colegrave Primary School, a school in the heart of a diverse, supportive and caring community.
At Colegrave we have extraordinary, talented and ambitious children who want the best for themselves, and the governing body and myself are committed to ensuring that each and every child is encouraged to reach their full potential, and given the confidence to seek out bright and successful futures.
Our pupils inspire my vision for our school: to provide an outstanding education, in a safe and nurturing environment where children are happy, have the confidence to express themselves, and achieve success every single day.
To support the drive towards outstanding, a new senior leadership team was appointed in the summer of 2013. This team share the same passion and drive as I do, and are working relentlessly to improve standards and attainment across the school.
We have a fantastic team of talented, committed teachers and support staff at Colegrave Primary School, who are dedicated and determined to provide an excellent education for all children, and who I know will support myself and my senior leadership team to rise to the challenge of taking Colegrave from good to outstanding.
Above all, however, we have supportive parents who want the best for their children and their community, and I believe that by working in partnership we can aim for the stars.
I look forward to seeing you all this coming term.
Ms Tahreem Hussain
Striving for success
At Colegrave, whatever a child’s mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve. We aim for the stars and nothing less. We have only one goal and that is to be the best of the best.
Colegrave Primary is a vibrant and ethnically diverse school, educating children aged from 4 to 11. We are only one of a few schools in Newham that hold a resourced provision for children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties. Our school is led by a team of high-quality teaching staff that cater for the needs of all our pupils.
In the summer of 2012, the children of Colegrave Primary School participated in the London Olympic Opening Ceremony in Stratford. We are now working in partnership with the Olympic Legacy Development Co-orperation to ensure that the positive impact of the Olympic Games lasts long into the future. Please see our news section or speak with any of the staff if you would like to know more about exciting upcoming events the school is involved in.
