  • Wednesday 22 June 2022 Acorn Update We had a very exciting spring term. Our main text was 'Last Tree in the City'. Wethoroughly enjoyed this book and all the creative opportunities it presented us with. We even created and illustratedour own stories 'Last Tree in School'and wrote poems about our love oftrees. Our linked Sensory Story was 'Lost in London'and this helped us to learn a lotabout our capital city. We lovethis book and its story props.

  • Monday 14 March 2022 Logo Lift Off Budding Scientists around the school were selected to enter a very exciting competition for the Government's spaceflight programmecalled 'Logo Lift off.' The spaceflight programme will be launching rockets into space from the UK for the first time and they were tasked with designing a logo for the rocket! The logo needed to represent the satellite's important mission to help protect our planet form climate change.
  • Wednesday 2 March 2022 Safer Internet Day (Part 3) Children at Colegrave are fantastic ambassadors for promoting online safety and this was reflected in the rich and thought-provoking discussions and activities that took place throughout this year'sSafer Internet Day.All Key Stage 2 classes talked about online relationships and how we communicate with people over the internet. We looked at a range of hypothetical scenarios and discussed the best way to act in each given situation.
  • Thursday 24 February 2022 Safer Internet Day (Part 2) Our EYFS and Key Stage 1 classes loved getting involved in this year's Safer Internet Day activities. All classes began by reading the storyDigiduck and the Magic Castlewhich can be found here. The children enjoyed the story and used it as the jumping off point for important discussions about how they make sure that they stay safe online. Each class then took part in different activities based on the theme of respect and healthy relationships online.

  • Friday 17 December 2021 Reception Nativity After lots and lots of rehearsal, Reception performed their version of 'The Nativity'. Each pupil played a crucial role in the performance, as a singer or as an actor.
  • Friday 26 November 2021 Romeo & Juliet - World Premiere We are proud to present Year 6's production of Romeo & Juliet for Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation's inauguralShakespeare Schools Film Festival!
  • Thursday 11 November 2021 Celebrating Space Week At Colegrave we recentlycelebrated 'World Space Week.' The theme this year was 'Women in Space' and each key stage was set a homework project based on a different femalescientist.
  • Tuesday 12 October 2021 Primary Geography Quality Mark We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded theSilver Award for the Primary Geography Quality Mark. This goes to show all the fantastic work that our students are doing in geography at Colegrave.   • Monday 22 March 2021 World Book Day (2) Our school theme for World Book Day was fairytales with a twist! Each year group was given a different fairytale to focus on and spent the day exploring it through a variety of activities. Read on below to find out just some of the exciting things we got up to throughout the day!
  • Friday 12 March 2021 World Book Day World Book Day came a little later at Colegrave this year.  We decided to wait a week so that we could celebrate this exciting day with all the children and staff back in school and it's fair to say that the day was a fantastic success!

  • Monday 4 January 2021 The Martian Last term’s Topic on Earth and Space themed ‘The Martians’, allowed pupils to experience and learn about the solar system and its cross-curricular Geographical links to day and night and different time zones.
